Week 7

Environment

The environment had several elements that could be approved upon. The first being the massive amount of negative space the was being caused by the middle ground. The issue with this was that if we adjusted the terrain of the middle ground to not have that negative space, it would expose the resolution of the terrain. To solve this issue I pulled assets from our megascan folder and had them greatly enlarged in order to mimic the mountains surrounding them. I also got rid of the negative space in the foreground by recycling megascan assets form our previous environment.

Lighting

For the lighting of the level I had to readjust it again with collaboration of my colleagues due to the fact that the lighting for the scene was to dim. This was simple process of trial and error of trying to find the right angle to direct the lights. For the entire level, we have several direct lights accompanied with the light being cast form the ultra dynamic sky in our scene. We also have several animated rect lights parented to our bottle in order to get the reflective highlights on our bottle.
