Week 8

Shadows

Since our last critique, my team decided to prioritize refining the color depth, shadows, and tiny details of the environment. It was also revealed that the topology of our bottle needed some refinement as well.

Because we are rendering the foreground and the background separately. We decided as a team to have to different renders of our environment composited together in order to get the shadows just at the right consistent value throughout the environment. Me and Rui decided to do separate renders to see what lighting fit for the environment.

For the render shown below, we utilized it to be used as a foreground render after we did some minor editing in nuke.
